Dalai Lama Meets East Palo Alto Students

“Turns out that even after 13 reincarnated lifetimes, the Dalai Lama was still a lazy teenager in his youth who hated to study and considered his unsmiling teacher a bore.

The 14th Dalai Lama admitted as much to more than 400 sympathetic Peninsula middle and high school students invited to attend a chat in East Palo Alto on Wednesday with the spiritual leader of Tibet.

    we were at his teaching of The Eight Mind Trainings. As always he is simply powerful. This teaching tells us to see our enemy as our teacher, and to place yourself lower than others, to always cherish others first, and to make helping others your main focus. You think, oh this is so easy…but then you realize how deep this goes inorder to really change our minds and habitual ways.
