Remembering Coretta
Ernie Suggs of the Atlanta Journal Constitution (Reg. Required) offers this summary of King’s life: “She was a real activist. She had one of the most keen, aggressive social political minds that I have ever talked to. She was really committed to world peace, really committed to racial equality, really committed to civil disobedience and non-violence. She was not just the woman he went home to. She was the one who shaped his ideas and activism and she single-handedly maintained his legacy,” said Sharpton.”
