The Race for 3008: Spousal Abuse

Filed under: Critical Voices | FrontPage | Presidential 2008 — by Bob Zuber @ 2:41 am

Appearing in the Cincinnati Post, Ann McFeatters describes the fate of candidates’ spouses and the families they are trying hard to hold together: “They rarely speak of their special frustrations. Michelle Obama has two young daughters who resent her travel and to whom she has promised a dog when the campaign ends. Ann Romney has multiple sclerosis and hates fund-raising. Elizabeth Edwards has inoperable cancer and young children. Jeri Thompson is 24 years younger than her husband and has a 12-month-old daughter in diapers. Cindy McCain, like Edwards, has done this all before and finds herself more thin-skinned this time.”

Words for Acts

Organizing or Manipulating?

If you are moving people to act through truth and for truth, as you understand it, then you are organizing them. If you are moving them to act through deception, then you are manipulating them.
