Microsoft has ditched the word “democracy” in some of its software used in China. You can’t use that word in a blog title in its blog hosting service called MSN Spaces. Other forbidden words are “Dalai Lama,” “freedom,” “human rights” and “Taiwan independence.” Bill Gates has joined Rupert Murdoch in doing whatever it takes to stay aboard the gravy train that is China’s economic expansion.
