Egypt: Pro Government Forces Attack the Crowds

Wed evening (morning in the US) in Tahir Square, Cairo.  Scenes of molotov cocktails being tossed into the crowds and into buildings; men on camel and horseback rampaging through the crowds.  Nick Kristof of the NY Times reports machetes and razors.  Anderson Cooper of CNN pummeled in the head.

Things are looking very ugly.  Serious head wounds reported.

Multiple molotov cocktails being hurled off roof-tops; so sign of military intervention.

Yesterday on the Rachel Maddow show there were reports that some of those “pro government” persons inciting had police ID badges. Not saying that that is the case for all …but a few good agent provocateurs are helpful for tyrants.
